We reserved two blocks of hotel rooms - both are located on S Michigan Avenue near the Adler Planetarium. You may choose to stay just Saturday night, or both Friday & Saturday, and will still receive our discounted rate. However, we encourage you to book before 8/14/2024 to receive the discounted rate as rooms are limited.

Transportation will be provided to and from both the ceremony and reception.



• Pick up at Hilton Chicago (8th Street Entrance) to Holy Name Cathedral: 2:40pm
• Buses depart from Holy Name Cathedral back to hotels: 4:40pm
• Pick up at Hilton Chicago (8th Street Entrance) to Adler Planetarium: 5:50pm
• After the reception, there will be buses shuttling guests from the Adler back to the hotels from ~10:30pm-1:00am.

Hilton Chicago & The Blackstone:

The Hilton Chicago Self-Park Garage can be used for guests staying at either hotel. The entrance is at 99 E. Balbo Ave and rates are below:

Holy Name Cathedral:

Complimentary parking is provided at One Chicago Square Tower for the duration of the wedding only. The entrance is at 14 W. Superior between Dearborn and State Street. Validation of your parking ticket is required to exit the garage and can be validated at one of the two validation machines in the Vestibule of the Cathedral. You can validate your ticket any time before or after Mass but please be sure your vehicle exits the garage within the validated time on your parking ticket or you will be charged $100.



Adler Planetarium:

Limited parking is available at 1300 S Linn White Drive. Please let the parking attendant know that you are a guest of the Atkenson/Baur Wedding. There are 10 first-come, first-served spots available; beyond that, parking will be $40/car. We highly recommend utilizing the transportation provided, if possible.

Please note that our wedding weekend is traditionally when Chicago celebrates Mexican Independence Day. There will be celebrations and parades across the city that will lead to street closures, exit ramp closures and overall traffic & delays. As the weekend approaches, we will continue to update you all on any events and or street/ramp closures that we become aware of.

Please allow for ample travel time as we anticipate this congestion.
